Case Study

The project involved the construction of a new school hall to the rear of the existing building and the refurbishment of the existing hall to convert this into new classroom facilities.

The new hall was constructed to the rear of the existing school and access was limited through the existing playground, with daily liaison required between the construction team and the school to ensure minimal disrupion to the pupils during the school day.

The existing hall required the removal of the existing timber roof structure and raising this up to allow the installation of a new first floor and the construction of new ground and first floor classrooms. As part of these refurbishment works, an external staircase and lift structure were added to the outside of the building to facilitate external access into the new facilities.
